ABOUT ME

I am a nice American girl from the Midwest who is studying applied anthropology and hoping to find a great place abroad to perform her master's research. In the meantime, I am working for a year at a preschool in Warsaw, teaching English to three year olds. It's been tons of fun. I have enjoyed making new friends and am starting to learn a few words in Polish.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a free-spirited, happy-go-lucky young lady who LOVES traveling and experiencing new cultures. I feel like life is too short and there are so many awesome places to see and cool people to meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had one great couchsurfing experience in Prague.  My host was wonderful and I got to meet 3 other couchsurfers he was hosting as well.

Interests

I love world cultures, art and music. I play the piano and love to sing and dance. I also grew up in the country, so I love being outdoors, especially hiking, climbing and camping in beautiful places.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked 96 miles along Scotland's West Highland Way! It was challenging and tons of fun, especially when my hiking partner ditched me and I was forced to make new friends. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy teaching piano to beginner students and am also willing to help people get set up for a wilderness trip, since I have done a lot of that. I can teach you how to canoe or ice-fish or cross-country ski.

I would love to learn how to cook different types of foods as well as learn bits and parts of different languages. I am also usually up for anything new and adventurous!
