Overview
About Me
I'm running a family business in my hometown - a travel agency. Travelling plays an important role in my life - both professionally and personally.
Finished my Master's degree at the University of Antwerp, Belgium where I met wonderful people - great CS community there! I still keep coming back to visit them once in a while.
I like meaningful travelling - not only visiting places and tagging yourself there :) but mostly meeting local people, see how the live, what their outlook on life is. Having coffee on a small side street rather than mixing with the crowds of tourists, feeling the authentic atmosphere of the visited place.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of having friends anywhere in the world. People who are able to bring me in their world.
I like to host, I like to surf, but mostly I like to meet people with passion for travelling who carry the spirit of exploring the unknown and themselves.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: I like a wide genre of movies as long as they don't just come and go - unfortunately many of the contemporary Hollywood are such - made just for the money, without leaving impact.
Music: I listen to a lot of classic rock but I also like other music genres depending on the mood, for example lounge, jazz, authentic Bulgarian folklore music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This one is a hitchhiking experience:
I lived and worked in Cyprus for one summer. I was supposed to take the last bus to the capital to meet a girl but I missed it (public transport is not very regular on the island). So I decided to hitch-hike. It was in the middle of the summer, I walked a few kilometers towards the exit of the town, a car picked me up and left me on the motorway. The sun was slowly sinking down and I was too far away to come back. I thought maybe I will sleep in the desert :) Luckily, an SUV stopped. It was already full of people but the guys didn't mind picking me up. They were from Cyprus and Australia, in a party mood. All windows down, naked from the waist up, lively chatting, speeding, the engine was overheating. The rest of the story I tell over a glass of good beer :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Getting to know conversation, taking a walk together, having drinks or dinner, whatever he/she is willing to do and has time for.
As a working person myself I know pretty good what a busy schedule is. I do not expect the host to drop their daily responsibilities for me. I try to respect their schedule and am open to adjust to it to the best of my ability.
