Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is the best way to explore a new country/city because you get to know local people who can take you to the best places and you can also get in touch with their unique lifestyle. Something definitely better than staying at a lousy hotel.

Centres d'intérêt

Except music, movies and books which I describe later on, I like participating in theatre groups. I took part three years in the theatre group of my university. For two years I was an actor and on the other one I took care in the team who took care of the music of the play. After I left that group I started participating in comedy improvisation classes, which are very exciting!

When I was still at school I took piano lessons but it's been years since I last played. Nowadays I take guitar lessons which I find fun. I also know very few things about the bass ( a friend borrowed me one for a while).

When I visit new places I like going to historic sites, museums and if it's possible festivals,thatres and concerts. I also really enjoy trying out the local food and drinks.

I also participated in a class where we learnt how to draw comics! :-)

Lately I started to find interest in artistic Photography. It really changes your perspective on things.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I mostly listen to rock & metal music, almost all kinds: progressive, blues , psychedelic, rock n' roll, garage, experimental, avan-garde, gothic, epic, atmospheric, doom, thrash, punk, post-punk, alternative, hard rock, heavy metal, grunge, folk, acid... I also like blues music, jazz, soul, trip-hop, dark wave, neofolk and sometimes classical.

I like watching all kind of movies except romantic ones (very seldom). I mostly like those movies which play with your mind like: memento, shutter island, donny darko... and those with a strong social message like: persepolis, dead poets society... I enjoy both hollywood and independent european cinema. Some of my favourite directors are Darren Aronofsky, Jim Jarmusch and Christopher Nolan.

Some of my favourite authors are : Tom Robbins, Tolkien and Lovecraft. I mostly read fantasy and classic literature like: the grapes of wrath, the name of the rose, steppenwolf, johnny got his gun, les miserables...

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

The most amazing thing I have done was spending a month in Spain and another one in Portugal with an exchange program of my university. Besides geting to know the local culture, I learned to be more independent and self-reliant. I also met people from around the world.

Besides that, I have been twice in Athens to Roger Water's The Wall concert (truly amazing). Other great concerts I have been were Saxon and Anathema on their resonance tour.
