About Me

I'm a 22 year-old student studying and living in my hometown. Travel is my passion, but I also love hanging out with friends (or making new ones), eating, going out, listening to music, watching movies and playing football. I'm social, patient and easy-going, but I won't put up with rudeness, dirtiness and any kind of racism. Although I am easy-going in my social life, I need to be active in my academic life, so I am currently a part of two volunteer teams; BEST (a non-profit european-wide organisation of students of technology, looking to improve the quality of european universities and to urge student mobility) and PANDORA (a robotics team comprised of students, which creates autonomous robotic vehicles with utter purpose of navigating, mapping and rescuing victims in natural disaster scenarios).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently moved into a new apartement of my own in the center of Thessaloniki, so I finally have the chance to host people. I love travelling and meeting new people, but I can't afford to travel all the time, so why not do the latter at my place! I'd also like to try out couchsurfing, while I will be travelling abroad as well. I've found out that knowing/getting hosted by someone that actually lives in the city you're visiting, takes the experience into another level. Instead of getting stuck exclusively in the touristic attractions, you can actually discover the city and experience it as those who live in it do, which is pretty awesome!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : rock, progressive metal and a bit of reggae from times to times, but that doesn't mean I won't listen to any other genres!

Movies: Filth, In Bruges, Inception, Interstellar, Seven, Seven Psychopaths, The Big Lebowski, LOTR trilogy, The Prestige just to name a few!

Books : Salvatores Dei (by Kazantakis), Harry Potter series, not really much to pick from, I aim to start reading some new ones!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my way to a 10-day course in Grenoble, I went out interrailing on my own, not listening to everyone else's fearful objections. Which meant that for 9 days, I was travelling through Italy and living in hostels, meeting new people and discovering the cities! It was an amazing experience and I don't regret a thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Greek, of course, and some basic Greek food recipes! I'm always open to learning anything that seems to be worth the effort. I'm also willing to share knowledge, opinions and food!

Countries I’ve Visited

England, France, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey
