About Me
Easy-going Athenian, always happy to share a beer in good company and show people around my city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For my gap year from work I intend to spend three full months on the road. I will be travelling alone and I would like to gain a more authentic insight into local cultures, meeting people and sharing experiences in good company.

Music, Movies, and Books
All genres of music, with a soft spot for classical and jazz.
Anything from Paolo Sorrentino, Lars von Trier and Wong Kar-wai.
Big lover of Herman Hesse (Demian and Narcissus and Goldmund), Albert Camus (L'ete) and modern Greek poetry (especially Constantin Cavafy).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While as a receptionist in Santorini, Greece, I had a once-in-a lifetime experience with a sea turtle, that had been stranded off on the beaches of the island. I found it and rescued it from ignorant tourists who kept harassing the animal and we swam together for two hours, until the authorities arrived. What’s special about this experience is that I felt a real connection with the animal, which was very aggressive towards anyone who would approach it but me. It just kept following me wherever I would swim, as it apparently felt safe in my presence. It was a sort of communication without words, which I feel to work on and advance in different settings.
