About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm searching for balance. I lived in France for 2 years after college and fell in love with traveling and the world around me. I've come back home for a bit, gotten a job, and now I'm looking how to balance my work-life with my adventure-life.
ABOUT ME
I'm a 27 year old Chicago suburbanite that just moved to the city last year. I'm growing more in love with this city everyday. I work as a Middle School French Teacher and have become a little rooted here. I'm looking to host couch surfers so that I can help out my fellow travelers and keep in touch with that side of life while I impatiently await my summer break so that I can go out and lose myself in my wanderlust.
PHILOSOPHY
No one has it figured out. Just follow your bliss!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only been a couchersurfer and never yet a host. I had some absolutely wonderful experiences and was overwhelmed by everyone's generosity and compassion. I want to pay it back and then some!
The first time I couchsurfed is still one of my favorite trips! I went to Turino, Italy. My host was wonderful and showed me all around the city and then took me and my friend to a ton of parties and awesome bars. It brought me back to the reality that people are at the base, good natured and generous which i think is a sentiment that is often lost in our daily 'climb to success' attitude.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two summers ago I walked the Camino de Santiago. I started in St. Jean Pied-de-Port, France and walked over 500 miles to Santiago, and then 90k more to Finisterra. It was the most amazing trip. I loved hiking, seeing the Spanish countryside, and most importantly, meeting amazing people on the way.
Teach, Learn, Share
Nature is so incredible. I feel that so many of my awestruck moments have occurred at sunset by the sea. We live in a truly beautiful world!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I have a large living with a couch and a queen sized airmatress. You are welcome to use my wifi, kitchen, and porch as well! I live a 5 minutes walk from the Sheridan Redline.
On the weekends I will be happy to show you around the city or take you to bars/shows at night. If you'd rather explore on your own, I can give you some pointers too! I would also love to share a meal with you so that we can swap stories!
On the weekdays, you are welcome to stay as well, but I do need to go to bed before midnight so that I can wake up in time to mold my students' young minds. So, if you are looking for a non-stop party, I don't think we would be a good fit.
