About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to find way to combine work life with freedom and achieving life goals.

ABOUT ME

I am a serious-minded person (doesn't mean boring!), always keeping the power of feelings in mind, on a journey to myself to understand them.
During this journey I now recognized that I would like to be referred to as they (and not he/she) and called Carli* [before you will find Norman] as I feel the gender-category "male" (or "female") is limiting me in the way I am.

I have straight logical but confusing and profound thoughts as well as an perhaps unordinary/morbid humour, too.
Travel was and is my way to understand the world a little better and to validate what I read or watched at TV (in the time long long ago, I got one). And of course to get to know new people. Also I had the ultimate privilege to live if in different countries already (Kenia, Poland, India) for some multiple month period, which led me understand much more how it is to be a foreigner.

For environmental reasons, I (try to) avoid using planes and do not consume meat/milk/egg products.
This goes ahead with my political activism trying to build a better more equal world for everybody (no matter which origin/ethnicity/religion/gender or sexual orientation).

PHILOSOPHY

My First goal is to serve Jesus Christ. This results in a LOVE to ALL people on Earth. Which also results in my way of life. But I am still on the way or I have been? In the last years I have been a bit confused regarding that (in terms of religion not loving, what I still do!) but currently looking to find back the faith of my youth.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

First I was lucky to enjoy the hospitality of a lot of hosts and I guessing of the feedback of my guest, I did not so bad in "paying back". But as surfers also give you the chance to see your home with their eyes, I can't say I am even, even so hosting more then surfed.

In general: Tell me what you like(d) and what not. I will try to make your experience more enjoyable (either surfing or hosting) :-).

And actually just to have it said. I really dislike the changes in Couchsurfing in since it became a BCorp - so if you write me on bewelcome instead - I would be glad.

Also living in Oldenburg now and not any more in the fancy Berlin put an hold to host requests which is a bit sad.
