ABOUT ME

I am an adventurer who enjoys learning about new people and cultures. My studies revolve around social justice and protection of natural resources -- subjects that are very important to me. I try to live in a thoughtful and considerate manner, and to consider the impact my decisions have on the human and natural communities around me.

I love to meet new people, and have great conversations. I love to cook with friends, chat over drinks, and explore new and familiar places.

PHILOSOPHY

Living in solidarity with others, whether familiar or unfamiliar.

I believe in being as self sufficient as possible, making things, sharing things, cooking and eating together. Actions that eliminate the alienation many of us face as modern citizens.

Trust and solidarity world wide is a brilliant concept and I want to do anything possible to make these ideas a reality.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed several times in France and Spain and it was an incredible experience! I am so grateful to my hosts and would not have had nearly as good a time without their hospitality. I look forward to more CS experiences and would like to host more in the future.

Interests

I love sailing, cycling, mopeds, and the communities surrounding them. I hope to pursue long distance trips via these devices in the future.

I also like to play guitar, listen to music, and attend music events.

I love urban and rural exploration, and while traveling, I like to check out the cityscape and natural beauty.

I like reading, writing, photo, and good design.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like a lot of different styles of music, in particular, folk, indie, classical contemporary, blues, jazz, bluegrass and hip-hop.

Some of my favorite musicians are, Sufjan Stevens, Phillip Glass, Buddy Holly, Same Cooke, Hope Along Queen Ansleis, and more.

Some of my favorite movies are The Way I Spent The End of The World, Frida, Y Tu Mama Tambien, Les Chansons De Amor, The Science of Sleep, Two Nights In Paris, The Edukators, The Dreamers, Blame it on Fidel.

Secret Lives of People In Love, Handmaids Tale, Housekeeping, Brave New World. I really like dystopian literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Been around Europe, the U.S., and Canada, but can´t wait to travel more and travel even further! Thus far my greatest adventure has been living on a sailboat in the Canadian wilderness for a week. I am open to and excited about all travel experiences though!
