Overview
About Me
I'm curious about the world around me and why things are, thus currently studying towards completing a postgrad in journalism. I'm in love with the power words hold, and enjoy reading and writing.
I have quite a lame sense of humour, I've been told, but I like making people laugh, especially those whom I care about. I'm a little bit of an adrenaline junkie, and I enjoy sports and outdoor activities. I have a second Dan black belt in tae kwon do, and enjoy being a group fitness instructor.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What I really like about couchsurfing is that staying with a host gives you an insider or a local's perspective on a place. You get to experience the culture there authentically even if it's just briefly, and the hosts I've had have only added to make my experiences in a place better.

Music, Movies, and Books
Goods books can keep me up all night. High fantasy and dystopia are my favourite genres followed by young adult books and romance. Neil Gaiman is one of my favourite authors. The Vorkosigan saga changed how good I thought a series of books could be.
As for music, it's pretty varied and changes quite constantly. At the moment, Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Disco are pretty much staples on my playlist, but is also usually supplemented by random songs I like from various artists/ eras.
Movies that I like range are usually thrillers, action, or high fantasy. Game of Thrones is an awesome series, can't wait for season 5 to be out. Same with Sherlock season 4.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I received a scholarship to study inclusive journalism in Denmark for six months, and I'm glad to say that I made the most of it :) Aside from from that, I've bunjee jumped before, and won a gold medal for sparring.

What I Can Share with Hosts
Group fitness classes, nail painting services, great conversation, sense of humour, political ideology debates, karaoke sessions, spazzes about good books/ movies/ music, help with choosing your outfit and insights from someone who learned the hard way that nothing is ever black and white.
