CURRENT MISSION
Let's go!
ABOUT ME
Young, in love, adventurous, eager to see the world and to invite the world to our home.A young couple, married since 2009, no kids yet. We moved to Wrocław in 2007 and fell in love with that city (and we're sure you'll love it, too!). Kasia: age 24, graduated from English philology and international politics, used to teach English and now works in investment banking operations.Piotrek: age 27, former English teacher, works in Accounts Payable and sometimes becomes freelance English translator. With such a "boring" job and education it is hard to believe that someone like us would be interested in couch surfing, but don't judge the book by its cover;) What we value the most is our private life and real, not professional relations between people. That's why we want to meet ya!
PHILOSOPHY
Well... Might seem like a cliche, but maybe "live and let live the others". We try to be open-minded. We have a quite traditional marriage, but this is our choice. You're welcome at our house, and it doesn't matter to us if you're married, in an informal relationship or single. Feel free to come to us with your partner, no matter same or different sex. Everyone is different and unique, and that's great, because it would be boring if all the people were the same.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
We're looking forward to both traveling and hosting, because we want to meet new people, share experiences and find out more about the others. We like people and we like the world. We would like to discover the world by meeting others. We believe that in fact you won't learn much if you only go somewhere to sightsee and your communication with people starts and finishes with "yes, no, thank you, you're welcome and one more drink, please". We want to meet different cultures, different views, different opinions and therefore we need another human being - YOU! And you need us... for the same reason :)
Interests
We love Michael Jacoskon's music and used to dance and give shows in a King of Pop amateur fan-based dance team.
We also enjoy boardgaming as it offers more opportunities to compete or co-operate with others than computer games and it is always an opportunity to meet people face to face. Don't be afraid, days when it was only Monopoly or chess are long gone now. Today sitting at the board you can build and destroy civilizations, save the world from diseases, eliminate another Mafia syndicate, be loyal or betray. If you feel like going abstract and use your logical thinking skills, you are welcome, too!
Kasia loves cooking and it would be great if she could cook something (especially a traditional polish meal) for you! She ain't obsessed with eco-food and stuff, but she enjoys cooking every day although she works and she tries to avoid take-aways. She thinks that eating together, sitting around the table sipping wine or even with a cup of coffee or tea make people feeling closer rather than eating out in a crowded place every evening. Well, she enjoys being a traditional housewife :)
Piotrek: a wannabe photographer, a wannabe Michael Jackson tribute dancer (he sucks in any other type of dance though), a gamer, a paranormal phenomena chaser.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: we like many kinds of music. Kasia is more of a pop music, Piotrek sometimes prefers something more alternative, but he doesn't despise his wife's music taste, he's just less freaked :) Kasia likes 90's music (even this one-hit-kitschy-wonders) as it brings her childhood memories back. As a huge fan of MTV she used to be when she was younger, she is now mourning that there is no music there anymore... ;]
Movies: We often go to the cinema and we definiately prefer Hollywood movies to "ambitious cinema". But no worries, we don't watch romantic comedies... If the trailer seems interesting, no matter what the genre is, we just go and watch. Then we either smile or regret.
We love American TV series. To be honest, nowadays most of them is better than what they show in cinema. We're great fans of "Sex and the city", "Californication", "That 70's show", "Mad Men", Boardwalk Empire", "Glee" and we're obsessed with "The X-files" (yeah, we want to believe... :)) There are of course more series we would like to watch and we're planning to do so, but all we lack is time, unfortunately.
Books: We like reading crime stories, we love books about Eberhard Mock, a German police officer who is our local 1920's, 1930's "dirty Harry" (books about him were translated to several languages, also English). Kasia always promises herself that she will finally go through classic American literature as it was one of her favourite subject on BA studies but... time. And rather lack of it. Piotrek is a fan of audio books (as most of his reading time is while on the go which would be dangerous with a traditional book) and he is keen on fantasy literature but far from both sword and sorcery and hard sci-fi space exploration. He prefers contemporary urban fantasy, written mainly by British (e.g. Neil Gaiman) and Slavic authors. He is also a big Terry Pratchett's Discworld fan.
