ABOUT ME
I believe peace is possible. I love fresh food, warm people, transparency, silliness, sunshine, and admire anyone who trusts humanity. I love to travel, meet new people, adventure, and be bold. I am an avid yogi, kiteboarder, sailor, cook, baker, adventuress, and am told I am engaging and entertaining. I have begun a solid meditaiton practice for the first time in my life in 2017 and I'm so thrilled about it.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe that small acts of kindness transform the world and that I am here to love everything and everyone I meet. I love my life. I mean, really dig it. I have a life that is overwhelmingly amazing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I bring joy to people's homes and hearts. I just bought a home so I'm excited to become a host for the first time! I just need to finish remodeling. It's a bit of a mess right now.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I enjoy offering a place to stay to strangers. there's nothing more impersonal than staying at a hotel. I want to put the humanity back into traveling.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I was maybe 22 years old and sailing with my family of 8 in a hurricane- truly at the whim of nature. I was the only one was able to be on deck, not throwing up below. I was leaned at a 45 degree angle against the rudder and wasn't sure if we'd capsize. It was amazing to be completely surrendered to forces greater than myself. I began howling wildly with the wind and my family was sure I'd lost my mind. It was wild. I loved it and feared it and survived it, being here to tell the story.
Hitch hiking alone across the US from the NY to CA was so humbling. I had never hitch hiked before and really wanted to know that the universe would support me if I let it. I was blown away by the generosity of people whilst they maintained the story that what I was doing wasn't safe. They made it safe. Every person who picked me up had a story. Sleeping outside and living on the road for a week my instincts became razor sharp. I could smell danger from mile away, and I did. And I'd side step it. It was so vital for my own growth as a human to experience in my own body that my safety does not come from outside circumstances. It comes from having an intact instinct. I am so grateful for that experience.
