Overview
About Me
October 2016: currently living in Canada for a semester abroad and travelling throughout North America
22 years old with a weakness for karaoke and pistachio gelato.
I'm respectful and I understand what matters to people
I'm always interested in people who can share their perspectives and experiences. As easily as I can get carried away by conversation, I can binge watch all released episodes of Game of Thrones with a few beers and say nothing at all.
My humour: irreverent, cheap, and a little bit dark.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm inspired by anyone willing to open up their home to a stranger travelling. Such a person probably has some interesting experiences to share and stories to tell. It's this honest exchange between people that I find to be invaluable.
Interests
Like my taste in music, my interests are broad and waxes and wanes with time.
I can be listening to the most mainstream EDM on one hand, and on the other hand I'm singing my heart out with Nina Simone and Bill Withers.
My (maybe, but unproven, ignorant) optimism of the world tells me that there is so much in this world to experience. My worst fear is finding myself restricting my interests into a small shopping list and only doing things that match what I know I like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Travelled
There has not yet been a single moment where I just thought "that's the best thing I've ever done in my entire life".
If I do have that thought, then what's next? What's going to top what I've just done? I'll constantly be seeking something better. What then happens once I've done the best thing anyone could ever do?
I prefer to enjoy every moment I can, understand the world and also the people who live in it. I find that this is easier done when I'm travelling.
Teach, Learn, Share
My travel philosophy: say yes to (almost) everything, be introspective, learn everything you can from all the different people you meet and places you go
What I Can Share with Hosts
When I meet new people, I try find things we both like and done. I believe that I can do something I've already done, and with a completely new perspective influenced by what I have learnt, I can have a totally new experience.
There's something about (re)discovery that I haven't quite yet been able to uncover.
I'm sure that through your travels you've also come across questions of your own. In the way that your experiences will help answer my questions, I hope mine can provide some insight into yours.
I can also teach you how to make a killer laksa, pho, pad thai or enough Lao to not get robbed by a cab in Vientiane.
