About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To See As Much Of The World As I Can

ABOUT ME
🇺🇲🇰🇷
Had the opportunity of growing up in a military family. My father was stationed in Seoul for 8 years of my life so i consider that my hometown. I had been living in the Kansas City area but moved to Seattle 11 years ago. I went on an one way train ride across the country and back to see friends and family for the holidays. Saw some great scenery and met some wonderfully random people.

Interests

I am fascinated by books that become movies and the whole process of writing a screenplay. I wonder why people always say ____ was good but the ____ was better....Reading The Coma by Alex Garland which isn't a movie but was written by the same author who wrote The Beach - a backpacking classic

Music, Movies, and Books

The Beach is one of my all time favorites.I like books that are adventurous and thought-provoking. Hunter S. Thompson and Alex Garland

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Amtrak from Seattle to DC. It was my first train ride but i figured... The airports are just ridiculous and the fare was cheaper. Alone, i was a bit apprehensive and almost rather i had taken a plane as the trip neared.
But once the train took off and i dozed off. I awoke to being somewhere in Eastern Washington surrounded by beautiful scenery. Snow capped mountains and all that. Can't possibly describe the entire trip but what i would like to pass on is that despite all the screwed-up faces and "why a train" questions i had absolutely no regrets and actually now prefer traveling by train if possible. The seats are bigger with leg rests...no seatbelts...you can bring your whole bottle of shampoo...there is a sightseeing car/ lounge car in which there are great pictures to be taken and expensive liquor and snacks to be purchased. (Packing your own is advised) Although trains are slower... they are so much more fun and i had some really awesome conversations and shared stories with people i otherwise might not have. Be advised that Amtrak employees are generally grumpy but the ones that are not are very chill.
