Overview
About Me
When I was a kid I always thought I'd grow up to be a detective. Actually, now, I run a ghost hunting society.
Obviously I'm interested in spooky stuff, but I also like exploring, wild swimming, cycling, scrambling, wildlife, food, psychedelics and art.
I love meeting new people and discovering new places. I try to travel as much as possible. For a while I was a digital nomad, balancing work and travel, but I found that I didn't really like having a foot in both worlds. Now I alternate between periods of intense work and periods of intense travel.
I can get along with most people. I love finding out about about weird hobbies, other perspectives and cultures, and the adventures the people have in the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had some of the best nights out with random people I met in random cities. I genuinely love the chance and circumstance inherent in travel and meeting strangers. And I love the idea of hospitality exchange - it feels like something genuine in an increasingly commercialised world.
Tl;dr: to meet interesting people and go on weird adventures.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Long ago now I took a trip to Chernobyl. I've always found abandoned places fascinating, haunting, weird - and this was all those things on a grand scale I'd not experienced before. The whole city gradually being reclaimed by nature... eerie.
