PHILOSOPHY
Never pass up any opportunity presented to you. You never know if it will ever show up again.
I may be from the US, but I'm foremost a citizen of this world.
A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck would chuck wood.
If you can't love yourself, how the f*ck are you going to love someone else?
It takes a village.
Wer sich keine Zeit für Freunde nimmt, dem nimmt die Zeit die Freunde
I hate it when ugly people say, "I need my beauty sleep." Bitch you need to hibernate!
Grammar: The difference between knowing your shit, and knowing you're shit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS is something I take very seriously. For me it's just not a free stay at someone's place, instead it's getting the chance to get to know a local and the place in which they're living through their perspective. Great conversations about awesome travel stories tickle my fancy. Generally we do this over a nice home cooked meal de moi :P.
Oh, and I ALWAYS leave a reference, no matter how busy I get. They're very important for CS to work, so I'd advise everyone else to do the same.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far: U.S., Australia and all over Europe, the birth of my CouchSurfing awakening.
TBA: Africa, Southeast Asia, Middle East, and, uh, I don't know, the rest of the world?
I probably won't stay at a hotel/hostel ever again if I can help it :).I have hosted and have been hosted several times, don't let the few references fool you!

Music, Movies, and Books
All. Even the bad ones! Music wise, it depends on my mood. But I really do enjoy electronic and synth pop.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Australia. Everything there is amazing. Except the spiders. SCREW SPIDERS!
Teach, Learn, Share
I know how to ride a unicycle, drive, photograph professionally, effectively learn (and teach) languages, cook and bake, build a tent, canoe, march, shoot a rifle, snowboard, host parties, knit, play tennis, work on cars, rock climb, CPR, bartend, blow smoke rings, rappel, white river raft, dance salsa/meringue/bachata/waltz/cha cha cha/the charleston.
I would LOVE to learn how to surf, brew my own beer, plant correctly, mountain climb, sky dive, play the guitar, play the piano (know a little, but still learning), wear the right things, converse better, write better, and probably much much more.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Great stories from Berlin to Australia, Texas to Minnesota. Also, free coffee and most likely good food and wine. I'm a progressive version of Paula Dean with male parts.
