Hello, my name is Miljan, but friends call me Shuky. I live in beautiful city of Novi Sad where I grew up.

My first travel experience was in high school, where we had students exchange with Czech students. They were our guests and after that we were theirs. Thanks to this exchange I met some really cool people and we are still friends. This experience opened my eyes, it was life changing event. Since then I know what I want to do in my life, I want to travel and meet people.
In life I always try to do and try something new, experience different stuff. Being very open person I meet a lot of people and I think that that is one of my biggest treasures. Since I’m used to be around a lot of people I can’t imagine life without friends. Meeting with people of different background, cultures and religions helps me broaden my horizons and to realize in how beautiful place we live.
Whole idea of meeting new people, different cultures and traveling got me to my first Erasmus experience, where I am currently on Architecture PhD studies in Alcala de Henares, Madrid, Spain.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm am on Couchsurfing because I think that the only good way to experience some place is thought meeting people from that place.

Interests

I believe that you need to experience as much as you can in life. Recently I discovered joy of running, last summer I ran my first 10k race ("We run Belgrade"). Now my appetites are grown and this summer I plan to run half marathon and try to beat my self and finish triathlon race.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to all different kinds of music I don´t have any prejudices and I think all music is beautiful. Of course, not every music is prefect for every opportunity.
About movies, my favorites are comedies because I believe laughter is like cure, but there is always place for good SF or thriller.
I have to be honest, even if I really enjoy reading, currently it is a bit in second plan. So, only thing I menage to read at the moment are science papers and and field related books.

In my life there were a lot of different amazing thing, but if I have to pick just one I think it would be having so many good friends all over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I was water polo player for ten years I´m good swimmer so i could give some swimming lessons. Also I can teach few tae kwon do moves. If you want I can help you understand Serbian culture better and teach you Serbian language. I can share my ideas, opinions, thoughts and humor.
I'm always looking forward to learn about host culture, country, city, ideas, opinions...
