About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Couchsurfing around Europe for most of November
ABOUT ME
Well well well, all about me.... I live in New York City, and can't imagine living anywhere else. But at the same time, I can't imagine not being able to travel. Already in 2009, I have visited Washington DC (for Obama's inauguration), Austin, Texas (for SXSW), Thailand (a 7 week backpacking trip), Hong Kong, and then did some couchsurfing out in Colorado and California. Now I'm back in New York, working on film/television sets. Until my next trip....
PHILOSOPHY
I've always been a traveler, but it's just fairly recently that I sort of put it all together, and figured out why seeing new places and meeting new people is so profoundly important to the way in which I want to live my life. I think these two quotes kind of sum it up...
“Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” - Miriam Beard
"Through travel I first became aware of the outside world; it was through travel that I found my own introspective way into becoming a part of it." - Eudora Welty
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'd like to surf and to host. Just feelin' things out at this point.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just spent all of July couchsurfing out west in Colorado and California. It's been a pretty nice way of reconnecting with old friends. Wouldn't mind using it to meet some new ones.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am a lover of film and I work in the film business, so the answer is ever changing. But these days, my favorite thing to watch is Forgetting Sarah Marshall. The more times I watch it, the more I enjoy it, and relate the general catharsis through creativity theme.
Music... I am in the midst of a Beatles renaissance which I am quite enjoying.
Books...Re-reading On The Road. The Tao of Physics is next on my list.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Being in the crowd at Obama's Inauguration was a pretty intense experience.
Also, participating in Songkran (the Thai new year) with the locals was a great experience. They just have a giant water fight for three days to celebrate the new year. It's pretty much the best idea ever and I would go back every year if I could.
