About Me

All about me, tough one. Nerdy? :D just kidding. Half nerd of course, but not only. My favourite word? Amazing! I sometimes feel like a little child discovering the world. And I don't want to stop that feeling. I am very curious indeed, full of joy but somehow melancholic, I love the light of the early morning, when a new day is waiting for you. But I also enjoy being lazy and stare at the sky for hours, or lose myself in my thoughts.
I have a weird attraction for paper and everything where I can write or draw on. I fancy the smell of new books. And conversations in front of a bottle of wine. I am attracted by expressive eyes and by funny expressions in general. I take infinite pleasure in observing other human beings interacting, and often I just enjoy provoking reactions to see how people really are. Someone loves me for that, someone does not. But that's ok :)
I am a contradiction, and I hope you can genuinely enjoy that . My philosophy of life can be made in two words, "Respect and Peace". Love life, love nature, love the world and you can do everything you want. Follow your dreams and do not lose your dignity. It is fairly simple, isn't it?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing almost 20 years ago and I have (often, but not always I must admit) met amazing people throughout the planet. I love the feeling of meeting somebody you do not know, who is willing to share his or her life experience with me. It is very powerful and can be incredibly inspiring. At the same time, being part of CS helped me to open up and to stimulate my curiosity. Life is a never-ending process, I guess. Meeting, sharing, accepting, these are all experiences that shape who we are and move us towards whom we want to be.

Interests

Pretty much everything is interesting! My problem (and my joy) is falling in love with almost anything.. travelling, discovering, reading, playing (sport, with friends,i like to play! We should never forget that once we were children) music, artistic expression and so on.. oh life of wonder, what an experience you are.

Music, Movies, and Books

As I said, I am a paper lover, and books are my treasures. I never have enough of them. I often have a new favorite, just ask me the pick of the month if you are interested! I used not to be a big movie enthusiast, but that changed a lot lately.

Music is such an important part of each day of mine, that it is even difficult to think of a universe without tonalities, deprived of the enchanting beauty of a melody. However, I do not really like long lists! So if you are curious ask, I am sure we will find something in common.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The sunset in the desert of Western Australia. My heart was shivering with the pulsing light and while the red color of the dying sun spread all around us, for a second I thought that time itself froze. And I am sure it did indeed.

Teach, Learn, Share

Once I wrote that I am not a teacher, but maybe now I have a couple of things to share. To name few, I can teach you how to make the origami of a jumping frog, the fundamental differences between Japanese teas, why the British conception of wine is a little original, and how to calculate the topological entropy of a quantum system.
