Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Though my job causes me to be away from "real life" months at a time, I try to log onto Couch surfing as often as possible! I haven't actually been at my house in almost 4 months now, so I haven't been able to host any surfers, but I am hoping that will change next year
I am now planning a trip to Colombia, and I'm hoping that someone will let me surf on their couch!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started couch surfing when I was 16. I would meet people online from different states who had the same musical tastes as I did, and save up enough money to visit them & for the most part we'd go see live music together. I had great experiences and met wonderful people (including my best friend to this day) and it started my traveling addiction!

Interests

Whether I am traveling or at home in Oakland, California I enjoy hikes, riding my bike everywhere, musical endeavors of any kind, museums to learn more about particular culture, and exploring new venues and bars with friends.

The Little Prince is my favorite book. As for music, I have such expansive taste I don't think I could start a list here without it taking up my entire profile.

I have experienced immense kindness and generosity of people towards me whose country was being blown up at the time by mine, it changed me forever.

I have never grown as a person more than the times I have left my home and traveled to something completely unexpected. I hope I never stop growing!
