About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore, learn, and have as much fun as possible before I die.

ABOUT ME

I am an outdoor enthusiast and enjoy running, climbing, and jumping. I call it playing and it makes me happier than anything I've ever learned in a classroom. I like to get my hands dirty and experience as much as I possibly can in the short amount of time I've been given on this earth. I love snowboarding with a fiery passion followed closely by wakeboarding. Physical activities drive me and I try to appreciate every day that is given to me by simply taking a deep breath and opening my eyes. I love meeting new people, especially ones that have radically different views than me. I try to be as open and outgoing as possible and am sincerely hoping this web site allows me to pursue my dreams of traveling and exploring.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to be as happy as possible. I feel that life is way too short to dwell on disappointments and failures and if something in my life is bothering me then I better work as hard as I can to change it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being a new member, I am hoping to meet some people and begin traveling. I live in an apartment with 3 other people who are not as adventurous as me, so offering a couch is not possible at this point in my life. However, when I graduate and have a place of my own, I certainly hope to host as many people as possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not had any couch surfing experiences... yet.

Interests

Oh boy oh boy, here we go: snowboarding, wakeboarding, boating in general, hiking, swimming, frisbee, climbing (buildings, rocks, trees, etc.), camping, bonfires, playing drums in a circle, dancing to loud music, drinking a beer, sunsets, coffee, cooking and eating, and long car rides.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: While I am not musically talented, I do love listening and dancing to music. I believe there is a song for every moment in life. My iPod includes but is not limited to the following: Incubus, Notorious B.I.G., Andrew Bird, Collective Soul, Dave Matthews Band, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Marilyn Manson, Tool, Jay-Z, Sublime, Wilco, Arcade Fire, Sam & Dave, Frank Sinatra, Nine Inch Nails, the Offspring. Categorize that however you would like.

Movies: That's It, That's All; Caddyshack; Spaceballs; American Beauty; Into the Wild; Brink; Johnny Tsunami; 28 Days (and Weeks) Later; Dawn of the Dead; The Matrix; Half Baked; Rocky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting on top of a mountain with my snowboard strapped to my feet and Incubus bumping in my ears while the sun set and painted the sky a slew of magnificent colors. I took the deepest, most fulfilling breath of my life in that moment.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have been training in Muay Thai for the past 15 months and have found an incredible amount of happiness in martial arts. I love the sport due to its incredibly challenging nature - both mentally and physically. I will gladly work with someone to improve self defense skills because the world can be an ugly place and I think it is a vital skill to be able to defend oneself.
