ABOUT ME
2017 & I'm headed back to Europe!! Let's connect and explore the world together!!
(Madrid, Barcelona, Munich {for round 2 of Oktoberfest - of course}, Berlin, Amsterdam & Reykjavik)

In 2010, I took two months off from my life and went to explore Europe. Thanks to the wonderful people I met, the CS network and some amazing sights and sounds I had a life changing experience and came to some important realizations:
Never sweat the small stuff and take a moment to cherish even the smallest moments of happiness!! Be a citizen of the world and experience every destination with a local attitude.

I am a free spirit, I love true friends and good times. I like being on the beach as much as skiing in the mountains. Live music drives me and inspires me...I can't wait to experience the different styles overseas! (Shout out to I Speak no Americana) I love sports, good beer, music, animals and laughter. I am a southern American gal but have an open mind that is always looking for new experiences and ways of thinking. I respect the views of people around me. I am passionate about self discovery and good karma...I keep trying to push forward and find my true self.

Experiences make a person and I am on a life long journey to become a well rounded, well traveled individual!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted and surfed in the US as well as Europe. I CS because you get the local perspectives when you surf and you get to hear all about surfers experiences when you host! Im not big on huge tour groups telling me when and where to go...I am more about the people and the lives that actually make the cities beat. I hope I am able to continue to participate in this program in any degree and be able to offer my couch in the USA well into the future!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I think having someone surf your couch before you surf others is a good experience because it reminds you how thoughtful and respectful you have to be when in someone else's home.

Favorite Euro-times:
Paris: Playing the pigs game and dressing in costumes with some of the coolest hosts and travelers ever!
Brussels: 1st thing we did was a ride at the fair that took us sooo high we could see all of Brussels! Plus I made one hell of a southern fried chicken dinner for our host!
Amsterdam: All I can say is Dutch TV is...hilarious!
Copenhagen: Fastest option home from a field party? Riding on the handlebars of Martin's bike by the river as the sun came up...un-for-gett-able! and riding his gf's new moped, so loud you'd have thought it was a Harley coming through! haha
Arklow, Ireland- a giant rainbow formed over the ocean while we were sitting on the beach...GOOD LUCK 4 LIFE!
Munich, Germany- Oktoberfest...enough said.
Venice, Italy- once you get out on the water and realize how amazing this floating city is, it will make you speechless.

Interests

Music: from reggae to electro to jam bands.
Sports: I play volleyball and love to watch or participate in all kinds of sports.
Pub crawls: I am huge beer/wine fan and enjoy all types of taverns and good times out socially mixing.
Amusement Parks: I love a thrill, roller coasters and extreme sports are fun times in my book.
Health: Overall I like to stay active and aware.
Food: I love trying new meals-Italian food is my favorite but Ireland took me by surprise with some of the most fresh, delicious food I've ever tasted!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have traveled most of the main cities in the USA. From the top of Maine to southern Florida and all the way across to California. I have been skiing in Lake Tahoe, Idaho, Virginia and all over Colorado!! I have explored the beaches of Oahu and lived within the big skyscrapers of New York City. Now I want to see what was before us...the architecture and the history that was present for so long before America.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a little bit about a lot of things. I have had my fair share of experiences growing up as an independent young woman in southern America. I try my best to be honest and learn from my mistakes. Some things can't be taught or learned they just are...and I am just me. :)
