Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Save up enough money for a trip back to SE Asia or South America
ABOUT ME
Friendly, easy-going but responsible, slightly nerdy, love of animals and the outdoors.
PHILOSOPHY
Still gaining experience, learning, and growing. Currently I just try to make decisions that will create a world I want to live in, to treat others like I would like to be treated. The hippocratic oath applies here, "First do no harm..."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I simply try to bring a polite, positive, and humorous energy with me wherever I go. I laugh when I spill the proverbial milk, because there's nothing to it but to clean it up and get on with life.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
At first I just hosted a couchsurfer or two, in Davis, CA. Mostly they were great folks who had as grand a time as Davis could offer.
Thennnn I went to NZ and ended up hosting a whole handful of you people, some of which I've visited in far off countries and remained friends with for life.
Interests
Reading, frisbee, cricket, hiking, tennis, cooking!!, homebrewing and winemaking.

Music, Movies, and Books
Absolutely love to read, my current favorite authors are C.S. Friedman, George R.R. Martin, and J.V. Jones.
I listen to all kinds of music, but generally like upbeat with female vocals like The Sounds.
I'm not a very big movie buff, but I really enjoy a bad horror movie or a cult classic such as Big Trouble In Little China.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Took a flight to New Zealand with no plans, three friends, and a lust for adventure!
Pet a porcupine without getting a face full of needles.
Swimming the snowmelt of the Trinity Mountains in northern California, hundreds of butterflies all around me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am currently on my way to being a master chef, purely for recreational purposes. I would teach anything I can, and love to learn anything I don't know (with is just about everything).
I'm a homebrewer, and winemaker by trade, and would love to help out the casual beverage-crafter in any way I can.
Gardening is one of my newest hobbies, there's a primeval satisfaction in growing your own food or preparing a meal that you saw through start to finish.
I also know a little bit about a million other things, but don't specialize in much. A jack of all trades if you will.
