Overview
About Me
My current (or maybe eternal) mission is to explore, imagine, write, and practice with courage and compassion. I want to make people laugh and feel a little more at ease!
I'm a friendly and perpetually curious observer of the world. I'm great at figuring things out! I am always in the middle of learning something new and can be equally happy staring out of a rainy window and getting drenched outside. (Other weather patterns are also acceptable.)
More precisely: I recently left New York, spent a few months in Maine, and am currently in the Bay Area (where I grew up) figuring out next steps. I am up for adventures!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted a lot of friends and friends-of-friends and family on my couch over the years and am often surprised and delighted to have a new acquaintance for a short while or a longer one.
When I host, I really want my guest to feel comfortable, no caveats or awkward uncertainties -- so I try to remember that when I'm a guest myself, and make myself at home (which can be hard if you've grown up learning to be so "polite"). I love late night conversations, views out of new windows, and variety of shampoos to try.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once saw a hawk teaching its baby how to fly!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach/share: yoga, knitting, perfect scrambled eggs (a la Gordon Ramsay), funny poems, self-defense, the math you forgot from school
I would like to learn: how to play guitar, how to stop on a snowboard without falling down
