About Me

I don`t know him. I thought I did, but one day he just took off with his bike and came back after 10 months. And it`s like that all the time. I guess you just have to deal with it.

zero-chill and full zen

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There was one time when I tried to rely on CS as a last-ditch effort. Contacted as many people as I could with individual messages in hopes of getting a couch with 1-3 days left. Got a lot of positive responses, some even offered me a place to stay! Had to bail on them because of injury, but later had another chance to look for a couch and stayed in Hamburg. Host was cool. Thank you.

Interests

Mountainbiking. That includes long trips, short rides and an odd commute. Also philosophy. Well, that should`ve come before MTB, because that`s a major one for me. Basically anything to get my mind racing. Unsurprisingly it`s mostly modern stuff, like Piatigorsky, Stiegler and the like. Would love to think on my own one day..

Music, Movies, and Books

Dune. One book each year puts all the others read that year to shame. 2012 is for Dune. How come I haven`t read it before? 2013 for Fahrenheit 451. 2014 for Neuromancer. 2015 for War of Art. 2016 for The Quantum Thief.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Looking out of the window gets me every time. Only thing better is to ride your bike where your eyes are pointing. Which is basically the same as the 'looking out the window', but with more continuity.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Whatever they would like to know, I love discussions and talks in general, but more to the point- from my opinion and experience with obvious things like cycling, philosophy, veganism and traveling to something a bit more particular, like the time I cycled from Latvia to Monaco to UK or just talking about the weather (never complain about the weather, that's about it, actually, haha).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Egypt, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland

Countries I’ve Lived In

Finland, Ireland, Latvia, United Kingdom
