About Me

CURRENT MISSION

getting settled in in Copenhagen

ABOUT ME

Easygoing, (hopefully)always happy and smiling. I like to joke around with people and just have a great time in general. I have just finished a Master's in Development & International Relations after having lived in Canada and Finland for the better part of 2011 and 2012 so now i'm back home in Denmark searching for a real grown up job with a salary and all.

In my spare time I like to get active, preferably outside by e.g. running or mountain-biking. Otherwise I spend a little time and way too much money on my restoring and driving my old Citroën and love doing long road trips in it. Latest trip was to Nordkapp, most northern point in Europe, in May this year (note to self: May is NOT the month to visit northern Norway if you don't like 4 meters of snow...:)

When the water temperature allows it, my favorite activity is hitting the water as much as possible kite surfing and/or wakeboarding. Besides that, just hanging out with friends - here in Ottawa that means a lot of other interns, exchange students or even real canadians once in a while.

Interests

I like the outdoor and if it can be combined with some kind of extreme sport, then I'm in! I enjoy mountain biking, kite surfing, regular surfing, wake boarding and snowboarding as well as volleyball and swimming. Well swimming is not something I really enjoy, but something I have to keep doing since I'm also a surf lifeguard, and work as such each summer combining work and surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like indie music, but am open for most. Regarding books I find it hard to squeeze in time to read fiction in between the books for my study, but books I've read and liked include "World Without End", Hunter S. Thompson's "Hell's Angles" and Stig Larsson's Millennium trilogy. Otherwise, fascinating people´s bibliographies is also a good read for me. When it comes to movies I´m totally down with some good acion but I´m a big fan of small budget quirky movies like The Butterfly Effect, Away We Go, or October Sky.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Luckily there has been a few. Among others, skydiving over the North Shore, Hawaii, drinking plenty of beer at Oktober Fest in Munich, living in Hawaii 3 months kite surfing. Climbed a 5.700 meters/18,700 feet mountain in Peru. Crossed Canada in a snowstorm in a $1000 car.
