About Me
I'm a student and a teacher, a mentor and a mentee, I love dancing but also find joy in bellying around on a hammock or couch or in spending a day watching thunderclouds pass by. I think there is much kindness and courage in the world and though all the bad news might get me down I know there are people who live for love (not just the romantic kind, but the one that enables us to move and be moved by strangers who open their hearts to us, and yes, also the romantic kind) and this is how the world get's better - we love as much as we can, and hopefully that inspires the people around us to do the same, eventually there will be no room for hate. misunderstandings, arguments, disagreements yes, but not hate.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met so many amazing people through couch-surfing in Rio and Cape Town and have been able to host the most wonderful people through couchsurfing and college connections - showing people around in Nepal only makes my love grow for the wonderful place and I feel that it's the same when exploring a place with someone who loves it! Plus you meet people who have such a broad range of experiences and the conversations and things you do together turn out to be the best memories - so why not!
Interests
I'm interested in community development and environmental sustainability, my studies vaguely reflect that and but I try to spend as much time as possible working with people who focus on their communities - I think global policies are very important of course but I see these community leaders as the main changemakers and that's who I want to learn from.
I love hearing people's stories, whether it's my great-grandmother's story or of someone sitting next to me on an airoplane it's all a way of sharing with the world the wonders that reside within us - so if you love talking, I got you. I also love exploring places on bikes and have very recently started mountainbiking - which is an awesome way to enjoy beautiful landscapes as well. One of my best days in Rio was when our host took us out biking and if you Kathmandu, I would love to take you biking so brace yourself for traffic, cows, puddles etc. I cook mainly for company, so if we all want to have a nice dinner it will happen but just to fill up hunger I usually hit up street food stalls - which, unhygienic as they may be are full of mouthwatering yums.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Seakayaking and backpacking trip in Alaska- saw a black bear gobble up a little [..can't remmeber what it's called]. It was right across the river from us, the river that we were supposed to cross. We just continued walking downstream and kept calm, finally it took off. It was amazing to see it so close!
