I’m Kristiāna, but everyone calls me Krista.

I’m into all things science-related - especially the kind that makes me go “wait, what?” (which happens more often than I’d like to admit).

I love concerts and discovering new bands and artists to listen to. Music is one of my favorite ways to connect with places and memories.

I also enjoy TV shows and movies, although I have a habit of rewatching my favorites way too many times. Because of that, I’m embarrassingly behind on some classics - for example, I still haven’t seen Avatar. Yes. Really.

I used to watch a lot of Korean dramas, but I had to take a break after Goblin absolutely destroyed me emotionally. I cried so much my eyes were puffy for days, so I decided I needed a little recovery time 😀

Although I’m quite introverted, I do enjoy meeting new people while traveling - especially solo. I love hearing how others see the world, where they’ve been, and the weird or beautiful situations they’ve stumbled into along the way.

Somehow, I manage to get lost even with Google Maps, which usually leads me to the most random places. But honestly, that’s part of the fun - and I love sharing those stories later over tea.

Yes, tea. Loose-leaf, always. I’m on a personal mission to try every flavor out there.

I truly believe Couchsurfing is a great way to make traveling more meaningful and full of memories. At the same time, I think it should always be a respectful experience, where both host and guest respect each other’s space, boundaries, and way of life.

Art museums, books that make me feel things, yoga, being in nature, biology, long walks with no destination, and traveling to unusual or hidden places most people overlook.

Lately listening to a lot of The Smiths, Cocteau Twins, Mazzy Star, Big Thief, Salvia Palth or Radiohead. Basically, if it sounds like emotional damage with a nice melody - I’m in.
And I love Sufjan Steven’s music as well
