Travel to me means eating whatever weird local foods that my destination has to offer. I moved from my hometown of Stevens Point, Wisconsin to my current home in Lawrence, Kansas (go Jayhawks!) and fell in love with my wife and best friend there. I love the idea of meeting new friends but don't need hand holding if you are a busy host...I am flexible!

Strange and/or local food dishes and drinks. How can you go through Austin without stopping for good Mexican, or Kentucky without trying hot brown? BTW, 'hot brown' is the grossest name for a dish, Kentucky. Get it together.

I taught ESL in Taiwan for a year after I finished my undergrad, specifically with the intent to go somewhere that I did not know anything about, including the language. It was an incredibly rewarding experience!
