I'm Kristijonas or Kris, some also call me Cepele. I'm Lithuanian and I've lived in Lithuania for the most of my life. I really like outdoors activities. I'm currently studying chemistry in Vilnius University, my 2nd year. Talking is definitely one of my favorite things to do with people as well as discussing and learning new things. I'm usually open to new ideas or at least I think that I am and I will do my best to do so but I'm still learning as well. I really like quotes of different people and just learning random things about our world. History and chemistry are the 2 most interesting things to me I think and dare to say for now. I love travelling and seeing and learning as many things as it is possible related to both of my favorite areas of study. I used to say that my favourite sport is soccer, but it has been rather abandoned for quite some time and I'm and have been immensely into rock climbing. Doing that a lot. Good fun and good exercise. Especially when I get to go to real mountains or rocks... I have been a scout for over 10 years so far. Right now I'm a scoutmaster of 6-10 year old kids in Lithuania. Scouting is honestly one of the best things I've done in my life especially when it comes to international scouting. When it comes to history I'm really interested in World War 1, World War 2 and the weaponry of different kinds of the great wars. But I love any kind of history and I will definitely be interested in it. I really enjoy mountains and nature overall.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a really good way to travel and see the world. It makes everything easier and your travelling experience better. Me and my brother are occasionally hosting couchsurfers. From my experience couchsurfing is just an another amazing way to see the world and experience it in the best ways possible. Step by step one travels far and I intend to do just that during my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

Full Metal Jacket is my favorite movie as of right now. I love Quentin Tarantino movies and movies about World War 2, the Vietnam War. The Last Samurai is also one of my favorite movies so far. My favorite bands and performers would be AC DC, Queen, The Beatles, Sabaton, Trombone Shorty, James Brown, Jimi Hendrix, Elton John, Little Richard, Rammstein, Scorpions, John Williams, Hans Zimmer and I also really love the musical Hamilton. I've read quite a few books and I really enjoyed Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse 5 and the Les Miserables by Victor Hugo also really like books written by Erich Maria Remarque and Jack London.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was a Rotary youth exchange student in the United States for a whole year in 2016-2017. Lived in Wisconsin, Waupaca and had awesome opportunities to travel around the U.S. Been on a 6000 miles road trip From San Francisco, California to Wisconsin. Basically a year long adventure in the U.S.
