About Me

*(Typical Japan) Update: Since Japan is still scared of foreigners and strangers, I'm not allowed to host anymore. Still happy to help and meet up if we're interested and available.*

After 1 1/2 great years in New York where I did my Masters in Organizational Psychology at Columbia University, I am now back in Tokyo (3rd time Japan) to modernize what work looks like in Japan, especially for women.

I am very passionate when it comes to things that interest or have a critical influence on me. Although it sounds like pretty serious stuff here, I'm always smiling and try to look at things positively. My greatest passion is movies.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Since I receive a LOT of requests, here are some tips that make my life easier and increase your chances of being hosted.

DO
- tell me why you are contacting me.
- have a picture (I also value privacy, but in return of being able to stay at my home, I think it's a fair price).

DON'T
- send a request earlier than a month before arrival.
- give me your detailed travel plan.
- just ask for general tips. Be specific.
- just look for a bed. I know you're not in Tokyo for me, and I don't ask to spend time with me, but a bit of personal interest would be much appreciated.
- call me "bro". Please don't :)
- just say you love movies. Believe me, most people do. I am very curious about tips from your home country, though.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Primarily hosting, I'm curious about people, how they live, how they look at the world, and maybe they can even tell me new things about the place I live in.

Interests

Movies are hands down what I'm most passionate about in terms of interests. I watch any genre from any country from any year as long as it's worth seeing.

Music is also an important part of my life and I appreciate musicians who really put their soul into their work and make their own style.

We can talk about the rest when we meet :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In April '09 I decided over night to drive to Paris, meet someone (hopefully) and go back. 12 hours of driving, 1 hour of meeting, almost 48 hours no sleep but yeah, it was fun and absolutely worth it!

Getting stuck with the car in the middle of nowhere in the Sicilian mountains.

Japan exchange, so far the best year of my life (and I'm pretty happy with my current life). More on that when we meet.

Watching Rolling Stones for free in Havana by chance the day I arrived there. Lucky as f***!

Teach, Learn, Share

I don't know if we would share a deep spiritual enlightenment, but I'm in for a talk about anything or whatever comes up. I'm probably most excited about respectful and honest debates where we learn through each other's disagreements and perspectives. Hard to come by such quality discussions these days...

What I Can Share with Hosts

Thinking of Japan, I can probably share some insights with you from there, as well as things related to business psychology. And gruadually more and more food options :)
