Its an absolute absolute miracle that we are all alive and conscious of the world around us. Unbelievable - reason enough to live and treasure the world around I think. Feelings and thoughts related to this are best expressed by Carl Sagan in his book 'pale blue dot'.

Music: I play the tabla and the guitar. in terms of listening anything except heavy metal. some bands/musicians/composers of particular interest: Grateful Dead, Pearl Jam, Zakir Hussain, Dylan, Floyd, Gomez, L.Subramaniam, John McLaughlin, Ali Farka Toure, Susheela Raman, Bach, Joni Mitchell, Hendrix, AR Rahman, Led Zep....

Books: All of Marquez(I am not a huge fan of 100 years though), Vaikom Mohammed Basheer, MT Vasudevan Nair, O.V. Vijayan (malayalam authors), Catch 22 (absolutely love it), Arundhati Roy, Calvin and Hobbes, Krazy Kat, Aldous Huxley, Richard Dawkins, Betrand Russell, Fritjof Capra, Frederick Forsyth, Carl Sagan, Steven Jay Gould, John Gribbin, Desmond Morris, Richard Feynman, Dr.V.S.Ramachandran, Douglas Adams, Bill Bryson, Karl Popper, Roger Penrose. Right now reading some James Lovelock and Howard Gardner. Of particular interest these days are books dealing with the mind and cognition and cosmology and ecology.

Travelled from Leh to Trivandrum (northern most end of india to southern most end) by multiple buses and trains in a span of 6 days to reach exactly on time for school alumni meet!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

I could teach you to play the tabla or a bit of guitar. nothing esoteric - pretty straightforward. some juggling and basic watercoloring maybe. Could teach you to develop and print your own black and white images and to cook crab. architecture related stuff. Would like to learn to cook new kinds of food.
