Overview
About Me
I enjoy making friends in foreign lands and I hope that they remember me! I like making friends around here too.
I was born in Mexico, and until I was about three or four, I thought my name was "Guero". It took me a while to figure out why people started calling me Kris after we moved to the States.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm here to meet locals in the cities to which I travel, and to share that experience with travelers that come to my part of the world.
I host for the same reasons.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I started a retail business in 2004 in Los Angeles with my own savings, and I operated it for 12 years. I sold it in 2016 to move to Santa Cruz, and move my life into a new career path.
I started a radio station at my college, and it's still student run today.
I sold almost everything, moved from Los Angeles to Santa Cruz chasing love, broke up, and moved back to LA again.
Teach, Learn, Share
Everyday is a quest to quench my thirst for knowledge, and balance that with my desire to get things done. Generally, I only teach when asked.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my place in return with hosts. I live in one of the most beautiful parts of California, West Los Angeles (Culver City), near LAX.
I can also share the stories of my life, if anyone is interested! haha
