ABOUT ME

My name is Kris and I love to explore life. Although I'm twenty years old, I still feel like I'm just still a kid who is excited to learn new things and see more of the world. Everyday is a learning experience and I try to go out and remind myself to live my life.

PHILOSOPHY

Life, especially as a human being, is something to cherish and forever love. We have the privilege to have a conscience, intellect, emotion, love, and a soul.With these combined, we are responsible for making the world better.With all that said, my philosophy is to truly live life and go after your dreams.Then after all your experiences and wisdom you've collected on your life journey, you should give back to the world and make it a better place, whether it is for the plants and animals, society, or Earth itself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Currently I have no experience in CouchSurfing but I have heard about it through a friend who decided to walk to California from Kansas. I am definitely planning on trying it out in the summer of 2012 and will update this as soon as possible!

Interests

I love nature. Or maybe I love being outside. I don't know.Since childhood, I grew up playing in the woods and developed a love for nature. So obviously I love to go hiking, camping, and exploring.I was a photographer for my high school's newspaper and discovered that I enjoy photography. Currently I don't have a camera (but I plan on buying one in the future) but I do have my trusty iPhone 4s that takes amazing pictures :)I also like to play golf and if you haven't tried it, I suggest giving it a go. Why? Well because I always thought that golf was a stupid sport and was for old people. But then one day, I finally decided to try it out and was completely shocked to discover how FUN it is! It was the ultimate reminder that I shouldn't judge a book by its cover and give things a try before you judge.Overall, my interests in life is to know about everything. I have a natural curiosity of the world and of life. I enjoy learning new skills, obtaining new experiences, and doing something crazy and new (changing my own engine oil, fixing a toilet, cliff jumping, eating ethnic foods, cellular process of a virus, and exploring an empty amusement park are just a few).
I am a yes man!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One time, my friends and I went camping in the mountains of Colorado and while we were climbing and exploring the mountains, two fighter jets flew past beneath us (that's how high we were!). Although it may not sound like much, but imagine being up so high where you could see for miles when all of a sudden, you hear the loudest noise ever and you see two jets zooming past.

Maybe it's not that amazing but it was for me and I've always wanted to fly a jet after seeing that.

Teach, Learn, Share

One thing I learned that I enjoy is a handshake technique I've learned. Most people give handshakes with all four fingers together and the thumb. However, if you grab the persons hand while the pointer finger is slightly (barely) resting on their wrist, it gives the impression of a warmer and welcoming handshake! Try it out sometime.One thing I would love to learn is to fly an airplane (which I will someday, somehow)
