About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pay off student debt so that I can start traveling again.

ABOUT ME

I love flying kites, scuba diving, taking naps, jumping up and down, go-kart racing, making cookies, going to festivals, playing with puppies, driving, driving fast, smelling the roses and meeting new people.

I'm eclectic and eccentric, but somehow I make sense when conversed with. I'm the type of person that does things on a whim, and is up for anything. Traveling long distances doesn't phase me. I can kick butt if messed with. I am random, but all in good fun.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So many things.
This year my boyfriend and I went to 3 weddings in 3 months. 2 were out of state, and one was out of the country. We made the best of it. I don't use couchsurfing as much as I'd like to, because I'm lucky to have friends in so many places. In Slovakia (the out of country wedding for a cousin) we saw the largest castle in central Europe and we went up 2634 meters into the Tatra mountains. We took the quick route up by using 3 different cable cars and we had beers at the top. What a view!

One of my favorite trips would have to be 7 splendid weeks in Madagascar, full of adventure, scuba diving, camping on tiny islands and getting woken up from the incoming tides, tons of hermit crabs, THB beer and bolos (cookie thing), falling asleep in my little hut to the sound of the waves, watching dolphins enjoy the wake from our boat, getting tan, too many mosquitoes followed by infection, flamingos, Baobab trees, shooting stars, lemurs and the leeches that found us during our hike through Ranomafana, taxi brousses, spending quality time with friends in front of bonfires, flying my kite on a beautiful day, hammocks, rice, more rice and beans, palm trees and sand everywhere..........did i mention scuba diving, and seeing rays, puffer fish, huge sea fans, angelfish, barracudas, bat fish, spade fish, urchins, snappers, groupers, so much gorgeous coral, moray eels, one turtle, trumpet and cornet fish, bar jacks, parrot fish, guitar fish, moorish idols, surgeon fish, tangs, lobsters, squids, lion fish, the list goes on, but no sharks........

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to knit, so I guess that I could teach that.
I know how to bake almost anything. Just give me a recipe and wha-lah I'll show you how's it done.
I make killer pizzas.

I love learning new languages and being exposed to new cultures.
