About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be a good person to myself and others
ABOUT ME
I have plenty of interests and they seem to grow in numbers as I get older. So much to do and learn and so little time. I enjoy good company and have lots of good friends. I ride a motorcycle in summer, not in winter here in Finland. I used to live in Britain and thik about moving back more or less every week... I am learning to play the saxophone and play a little in a band, too. I love music of all sorts. And I love animals. I have two cats, Charlie and Diva.
I do meditation and aquajogging, love taking walks in the nature and occassionally do horseriding, I used to have a horse.
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love meeting new people and love travelling too. If I can help someone during their visit to Finland, I am glad to do so.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I was a CS guest at two different places in Aberdeen, Scotland in September. It was a very positive experience and my hosts were fantastic people. I really hope to meet them again in the future.
I especially enjoyed lots of the outdoor stuff. We went hillwalking and blackberry picking.
Interests
Life in general and what makes people tick. I am interested in travelling and seeing different countries and the local people. And what the life is really like there. I am interested in trying to make this world a better place by treating people nice and lending them a helping hand if I can.

Music, Movies, and Books
The bridges of Madison county. Reign over me. The terminal. The Commitments. In the shadows of Motown. Shirley Valentine. Little Miss Sunshine. And many many more....
All sorts of music but mainly funky stuff.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing two things I have seen or experienced so far are: First when my daughter was born. And second when my granddaughter was born.
I am sure I have experienced some other amazing things but those two are pretty hard to top.
But to mention one: I was in Enchinitas, California in 1990 and my friend took me to a desert near the Mexican border. We stayed there the night and sat, in the middle of nowhere, in the night time watching the millions and millions of stars. That was very special. And the amount of shooting stars was so vast that I couldn´t make wishes quick enough. Then my friend slept on a mattress on the ground and I slept at a back of a van with my head outside. I was scared of the snakes and scorpions. And to wake up there was pretty amazing too.
