Hi! My name is Krista and I love to travel and I love to meet and talk to new people even more! I've lived in a couple different interesting places for my university, but I'm originally from a small farm in New Zealand.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently on a summer break from university, and am planning to live in Berlin from August onwards. Couchsurfing seems like an awesome place to meet interesting people and to travel on a student budget!

Interests

I'm a student of cultural anthropology, so I'm very open and interested in all sorts of different experiences and people! When I have a break from studies I love to go swimming in lakes and rivers, dance with friends and go to random events like portrait drawing classes, public lectures or poetry readings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being in Beijing on the first day of the Chinese New Year (2019), and seeing the crowds outside the Temple of Heaven that just stretched for kilometres.

If you want to learn some basics in Mandarin, I have a couple years under my belt and can help! I also know how to make things out felt, if that's interesting to you. I love to learn about different dances and crafts (I'm working on my weaving and my salsa now!)
