Hello! I'm Krista, a 22 year old student studying Anthropology and Archaeology at UBC, in British Columbia, Canada. I love traveling and exploring, folk music, reading, meditating, singing (though I'm not very good!), eating/cooking, animals, and the outdoors. I'm a very open-minded, low maintenance, and easy going person, I'm generally pretty quiet, but I really enjoy chilling with new and old friends, good conversations, and genuine connections. =]

I would love to have the opportunity to meet people from around the world, learn about different cultures, and make new friends.

Interests

I absolutely love eating and cooking (although I remain enthusiastic amateur), so traveling often entails a lot of seeking out of new and exciting foods. I am also very interested in culture and history so I often can be found seeking out and exploring historical sites, cultural festivals, and live world music venues. I am an enthusiastic carnivore, but am extremely respectful to others' food choices and restrictions (my roommate is vegan and Celiac!).

I'm very interested in topics such as the origins of humanity, cross-cultural experiences and identities, traditional medicine and cosmologies, indigenous studies, primates, religion, philosophy, politics, etc, etc.

Books: EVERYTHING. I consume books like it's my diet. Currently reading Salman Rushdie, but I have just a huge range of literature that I love, I can't write it all.
