ABOUT ME

My name is Krista. I am from Bermuda and am currently living in Spain until June. While I'm in Europe I'd like to see all it has to offer and make new friends along the way.

I was born in New York, grew up in Bermuda and went to university in Canada.

As a restless 20something I want to see the world before my knees give out/ before a mortgage creeps up on me/ while I can get youth discounts.

I am quite shy and quiet, but I like a good laugh and a tall drink.

My favourite thing about traveling is discovering, time and again, that despite all the little difference essentially we are all the same(ish).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a new official member to the CouchSurfing community, but have participated with friends and through friends accounts in the past. I understand the will to travel on a budget (being 23 and "not rich" myself) and am willing to make the world a bit more cozy for those who want to see it without breaking bank.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have CouchSurfed through CouchSurfing on two occasions but through a friend's account (in Brussels and in Amsterdam). Other than that I have been the occupant of many a spare bed and couch in my lifetime. From my Aunt's couch in New York, to that of an ex- work colleague in London, to friends' unoccupied beds during frigid Canadian winters and weekend trips in Spain.

I love Couchsurfing because it can add so much to your trip- often times more than a hostel and especially more than a hotel could ever offer. I mean, you don't know a place until you know its people- right?!

My favourite movies are The Shawshank Redemption, Kill Bill and Kiki's Delivery Service. I don't know what that says about me.

As for music, I am a fan of anything you can ´get your dance on´ to.
