About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Wander the earth

ABOUT ME

I have an adventurous soul. I love to laugh, and be silly. I don't take life too seriously.

I am a risk taker, even though most of the time I don't really realize how big a risk I'm taking in certain circumstances.

I really enjoy immersing myself into another cultures. In the places that I have travelled, I have either travelled with a local, or met locals there that are willing to befriend me and show me the best places.

I love hiking, camping, and generally just being outside. The beach is probably my favorite place on earth.. That or on a mountain top!

PHILOSOPHY

Live without fear

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I haven't couchsurfed before, but I have hosted a couple times. The first time I met a person from the states and we ended up going on a crazy 30 km hike into a national park together. It was such a fun, and amazing experience. We spent a full week together and had a wonderful time. The second time was a whirlwind, but it was great as well! It was a little colder at the time so our options were limited.

Music, Movies, and Books

Into the wild, Into thin air, Flowers in the Attic is an old favorite of mine. Juno was pretty good as well.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've gone bungee jumping two times. Once in Romania in 2009, and once in Helsinki in 2011. It is such a rush, for anyone out there who is on the fence... DO IT! Its an amazing feeling. You won't regret it!

Teach, Learn, Share

I spent two months in Turkey, and in that short period I picked up Turkish. Its still a work in progress, but I would be happy to offer some Turkish lessons to anybody that would like to learn! :) I also speak a little Finnish, so I could exchange a few basic phrases and words.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cuba, Estonia, Mexico, Netherlands, Romania, United States
