My Mission is to travel, experience, enjoy, and learn as much as possible about life, adventure, cultures, nature, and the world.

ABOUT ME

I'm a teacher and I love making a difference for students and people as a profession. When I'm not teaching, I'm an avid outdoors man. I absolutely love traveling, meeting new people, and seeing new places. If I get an opportunity to travel, I take it. I enjoy recreational activities all year round. From snowmobiling, snowboarding, skiing, camping, mountain biking, motorcycling, canoing, power boating, and so so so much more.

PHILOSOPHY

I love to travel, meet new, people, gain new experiences, and make a difference with the people I share my life with.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still relatively new to the couchsurfing community. I am very excited that this community exhists. I'm also looking forward to hosting, traveling, meeting new people, and gaining new experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have met several people in Minneapolis at a Couchsurfing event. I learned about Couchsurfing through their experiences. My friend, John, introduced me to this great idea. I am looking to be a host and use Couchsurfing as a resource for when I travel. I have had two experiences so far with Couchsurfing. My first experience was with my girlfriend and I in Puerto Rico. We both stayed with a local for a good portion of our stay and it was, to say the least, a phenomenal experience! My second experience was on a road trip I took this winter to Big Sky, Montana and Ketchum, Idaho. I stayed with some very nice hosts in Big Sky and it was an awesome experience. Thanks Evan! I can't forget to mention, we even got a "Powder Day" when I was staying!!! This site/group/organization is the bomb! :-)

Intereses

Travel!!! I love anything outdoors. I'm an avid camper and boating enthusiast. I love canoing and traveling up to the boundary waters for some peace and serenity. I am into most sports (primarily- basketball, volleyball, tennis, and soccer). I just started riding a motorcycle and thoroughly enjoy riding my cycle. Mountain biking is also a favored pass time. I enjoy helping others, whether it be my friends, family, random people, or students of whom I spend time with.

Música, películas y libros

Too much to list. Music, I love almost everything and almost every genre.

Movies, I have high standards, but I love watching them. Examples: Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, The Big Lebowski, Hot Shots, The Shining, Full Metal Jacket, A Clockwork Orange, Saving Private Ryan, Dumb and Dumber, and the list goes on...

Books, Hunter S. Thompson is one of my favorite authors (Fear and Loathing, and Hells Angels are excellent reads). I also enjoy books on history. "A Little History of the World" by E.H. Gombrich is a brilliant story and well written. Not just a boring list of events, numbers, and names. "The Power of Now" by Ekhart Tolle was a phenomenal book that takes you into yourself to better understand the world and your mind. I'm always reading one thing or a few.

While swimming in a bioluminescence bay in Puerto Rico (at night), my girlfriend (now wife) was being stung by jelly fish and, all of a sudden, a medium sized fish jumped out of the water and hit me in the face. This was extremely scary, yet amazing because everywhere we moved, the water glowed.
