I am 23 years old from a small town in Canada. I have an awesome family and 2 lovely cats!

I grew up with a very active/ outdoor lifestyle: team sports, hiking, swimming, skating, fishing, camping, canoe trips etc. Canadians really try their best to capitalize on their nature which I think is fabulous. Today, I continue to enjoy landscapes and exploring every foot path I can (sometimes even making my own trail).

As I get older, my desire for adventure has expanded past my home borders. Today I am all about seeing new beautiful places around the world. I graduated from McGill University which is a very reputable school in Montreal. Here I studied with the goal of becoming a doctor, but after my 4 years of school I was beginning to feel very burnt out. I needed to take a break from academics and be rejuvenated. My solution to this problem? Backpacking.

Currently I have travelled over 19 countries in 2 years, and it's not over yet. What I've learned during my time travelling however is that meeting locals is the best part- and this is why I entered Couchsurfing.
