Hi! I'm Kristen and my husband's name is JC. We recently got married in April and had the pleasure of going to the gorgeous "happy island", Aruba, for our honeymoon! We've been together for 4 1/2 years now and we are "that couple" that tries and does everything! We like to keep busy and try new things from eating guinea pig (a Peruvian delicacy) to sky-diving. We're adventurous, fun and goofy. Our saying is "You and me together, can do anything" (Dave Matthews). We are each others' rocks and biggest fan. JC is smart, driven and witty. I am goofy, easily amused and laid-back.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My husband and I decided to leave Austin to road trip the nation! I am so excited to explore, learn and culturize myself. There are so many places in this world that we may never get to see but we would like to attempt most, if not all! We decided now is the time to travel before we settle down and have kids. It will be hard leaving home and our families but we know it will be beyond worth it!

Interests

I like to do arts & crafts, shop, run, ride my bike, eat out, go to happy hours, lay by the pool, tube the river and dance!

JC likes to read, work w/ the community, play basketball, go to the pool, kung fu and drive around in his Jeep Wrangler.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We're an open book! We are super easy to get along with. I LOVE hearing other people's stories and their background so I apologize if I ask a lot of questions :) I know quite a bit about Austin since I've lived here my whole life. I also have many traveling stories to share. Since we recently got married, I've learned a lot about the planning process that I'm more than willing to share if interested.

JC is full of knowledge! He can teach you some (hilarious) kung-fu moves, suggest a great book to read on any topic and/or tell you all about his incredible (novel-worthy) up-bringing.
