Hi, my name is Kristen. I'm from Alaska and lived in the Czech Republic for 5 years. I moved back to Alaska in December of 2024. I work at a school here in the Special education department. I've enjoyed being back in Alaska and being able to enjoy the wildlife we have here, but I still love to travel. I love CouchSurfing.com because it has led me to meet some amazing people who have been the best hosts in new cities.

I speak some Czech, some Spanish (I need practice speaking!), and know some ASL.

I love lots of music; indie, rock, almost anything but country (but there are even a couple of country songs I like). I love lots of classic literature as well as autobiographies. The Series Of Unfortunate Events is one of my favorite book series.

I've hiked 4 glaciers.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you about where I'm from, and English (I used to teach English). I enjoy learning about various subjects. I think that's what life is all about, a continual journey of knowledge. I love getting to know new people, playing card and board games, seeing new places, and especially with people who live there!
