My dream is to travel the world. My ultimate dream would be going to Paris. I have traveled all around Minnesota and have camped at almost all of the Minnesota State Parks so if you love the outdoors, I can give you some recommendations of great places to visit. Now that I live in the city I don't have much opportunity to be out camping and hiking as much as I did growing up.

I love animals and have two dogs and two cats. I am looking forward to some trips this new year. I am planning on trips to Boston, Chicago, New York and San Francisco.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to Couchsurfing as a gateway to allow me to meet my dream of traveling more and meeting more people. I am very active in the sharing economy. I love meeting new people and learning about new places. Everyone should have something to look forward to and planning my next adventure is something that makes the day to day grind easier.

I like different kinds of music. I am not a fan of rap or country, but most anything else is fine. I like mystery and fantasy stories. My favorite actor was Robin Williams (RIP).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One year I was asked to drive a friend's car down to Houston from Northern MN. We picked up the car from the farm it was being stored at and drove 3 hours back home to find out that the air conditioning was broken. This was over July 4th holiday and it was 90+ degrees out. We decided to leave that night even though it was 3 am. It was the longest 26 hours of my life. Fortunately, most of the driving was done at night straight through. It was a fun trip once we got to Houston and I was was happy that we were flying home, even though our flight was delayed 3 times. I ended up visiting my friend in Phoenix on that flight home as the only way to get back to MSP was to fly through Phoenix. I had to be to work at 8 am the next day. The original routes for the flight was Houston to O'hare to MSP but after that flight being delayed/cancelled 3 times, the only option left was to fly to Phoenix. I was glad that the airline was able to get me home in time.

I am interested in learning new languages and cultures. My travel to date has been in the USA but would love to meet people from other parts of the world as well.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am easy going and love to see city from a local's point of view. If you are looking for someone to hang out with, I would love to see what you consider your favorite spots. I don't have a ton of dietary concerns, but prefer to eat healthy whenever possible. I am pretty laid back, so as long as your place is clean and the couch/bed comfy, I am sure that we will get along fine. I am a non smoker and cannot be in a home that smokes indoors as I am allergic to smoke.
