About Me

I've always had a passion for adventure, and am just now finally getting the chance to truly go after it. I love meeting new people, dancing like a fool, losing myself in nature, laughing every chance I get, and living for the little things.

After finishing my college undergraduate studies in upstate New York, and before beginning my professional life in the so called "real world," I took the chance to explore Latin America and improve my Spanish beyond what I had learned in the classroom. I spent three weeks in Guatemala and five months in Argentina with a side trip to Uruguay and a week in Chile, before returning stateside to work at a summer camp in my home state of New Hampshire.

Currently, I'm on a bit of a hiatus from world travel, but the adventure never ends! Living in Brooklyn, NY now if you're in NYC and want to meet up :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to explore the world and learn about other cultures by meeting new people and making new friends. Couchsurfing has given me some of my most incredible memories and allowed me to experience the world on a truly local level. It is a community I plan to be a part of for the rest of my life, and I'm eager to continuing sharing experiences, languages, and cultures as a guest and as a host.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh gosh, I love almost all music and for me different music suits different moods, moments, and places. But some favorites that come to mind are Zac Brown Band, Bob Dylan, Jack Johnson, and Mumford & Sons. My favorite movies are "The Breakfast Club," "She's the Man," and "Inception." And my favorite books are "Harry Potter," "Count of Monte Cristo" and "The Great Gatsby." But I also read quite a bit of Jodi Picoult and Mary Higgins Clark.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hitchhiked 2,500km (1,500 miles) from southern Patagonia to the Buenos Aires province.

Swam at the top of a 215 foot waterfall.

Hiked and slept on the summit of a 6,000 ft volcano in Guatemala and watched the sunrise.

Walked with wild penguins in Argentina.

Hiked the Perito Moreno Glacier.

Stood in Germany and Austria at the same time on the summit of Zugspitze, the tallest mountain in Germany.

Biked through Valle de la Muerte (Death Valley) and Valle de la Luna (Moon Valley) in the Atacama Desert, Chile (the world's driest desert).

Spontaneously road-tripped to Canada to watch the USA women's national team beat Germany, the number one ranked team, in the 2015 FIFA World Cup semi-finals live in the Montreal Olympic Stadium.

Was a seat filler at the 2013 American Music Awards in Los Angeles, California.

Competed at USA high school track and field nationals.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: English, if you're not a native speaker and what some advice or practice... Plus, I guess anything I know that you want to learn!

Learn: I'd love to learn anything and everything that you can and want to teach me. Like any CSer, I'm always looking to expand my knowledge of different cultures, languages and skills.

Share: Friendly company and great laughs.
