About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I'd like to broaden my horizens, experience new things and grow as a person through travel! What better way then to meet awesome people who would host a stranger for their stay.

ABOUT ME

I'm a pretty chill easy going person. I like new experiences and adventures. I'm usually not afraid of traveling the beaten path and getting a little lost along the way. It's all a part of the experience. I like to spend my time with genuine loving people. Honesty is such an important quality in life.

PHILOSOPHY

The four agreements;

Be impeccable with your word
Don't take anything personally
Don't make assumptions
Always do your best.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had completely amazing experiences while surfing by forming connections and sharing with people from all over the world. When my schedule allows for it I would love to give back to the couchsurfing community by hosting.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience in Portland was by far the best. When the three of us got to our host's place he nonchalantly mentioned that there were also 5 other girls from Mexico who were csing at the same time as us. That made for 10 people under one roof. Everyone was so happy-go-lucky and we all ended up going to a random house party haha. The best part was the next morning when we all went out for breakfast and shared stories from the night before, and from our lives back at home. It was an amazing experience I hope to never forget.

Interests

Music feeds my soul. I love going to shows, especially in the fall when the weather is crisp and the venue is intimate.

I picked up my first hula hoop in New Orleans during December of 2014 and have been spinning off and on ever since. It's a work in progress.

I enjoy playing board games; Catan, Ticket to ride, Risk, Monopoly. I could probably beat your grandpa in a game of crib.... sometimes I get competitive.

Knitting is a hobby I wish I spent more time learning. It's been a year since I knit the first sock of what was supposed to be a pair.

I'm a tea lover, green mostly, but I've recently acquired a taste for earl gray.

Then of course, adventures through shoestring traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Wes Anderson flicks are probably my favorite. I definitely enjoyed Moonrise Kingdom. Also fell in love with Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love all kinds of music, indie folk, lo-fi indie pop, alt rock, and lots of classics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Participating and completing Katimavik, a 6 month volunteer program for youth in Canada. It was extremely challenging at times but I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to do the program. I met tons of incredible people along the way and learned so much.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a hula hoop trick or two!
