About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To tell Anna Wintour to get a personality
ABOUT ME
I'm a young, twenty-something with a serious addiction to coffee, sushi, Sex and the City and tacky travel magnets.
I've been on the travel train for the last 12 months - five months spent at summer camp and on the road in the USA, and seven months working at a ski mountain in Banff, Canada. What was meant to be a brief break from my life has now turned into a permanent sabbatical from responsibility, thanks to that naughty little travel bug and its addictive bite.
When I'm not globe-trotting, I'm globe-trotting and getting paid to do it, working as a freelance lifestyle and travel writer out of Sydney.
I'm a musician, a collector of used books and a gluton and alcoholic when it comes to cheese and wine.
I'm also obsessed with watching movie trailers on You Tube.
PHILOSOPHY
Don't be just a cute little ornament, be the whole christmas tree.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
As I'm travelling at the moment, I can't host anyone, but I would love the opportunity to get to know some new people and hopefully let them crash in my corner of the world - whenever it is I choose a corner of the world to crash in myself.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Did a spot of couch surfing while backpacking around the mid-west of the USA. Plan on doing a hell of a lot more of it in the future and encouraging everybody I meet to do the same.
Interests
Classic literature and modern literature, eating out, eating in, eating in bed, blogging, music, writing music, listening to music, dancing to music in the supermarket, some more eating, wandering around unknown places, coffee, coffee, coffee, eating some more, painting my toenails, getting my hair cut, reading the newspaper in a foreign coutry, losing my inhibitions, time for some more eating, finding kindrid spirits, driving on the highway, talking about things I know nothing about, arguing about things I know plenty about, making peanut butter toast when I'm drunk, eating, eating, more eating.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jane Austen, Jeffrey Eugenides, Nick Hornby, Nick Earls, David Sedaris, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Edith Wharton, anything and everything directed by John Hughes, rhythm and blues from the 50s/60s/70s, Fleetwood Mac, Mumford and Sons, Lisa Mitchell, Florence and the Machine, live music in hole-in-the-wall bars and buskers with nothing but a guitar case and their integrity.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I learnt more from a group of kids about the passion of being a creative practitioner than I ever learnt in the 'real world'. I am a changed writer because of them. To find out more, accept my couch surfing request!!
