ABOUT ME

- I'm a permaculture designer, which means I show homeowners, businesses, & municipalities how to grow food while improving habitat, compost, integrate livestock, capture rainwater, reduce waste, & all that good stuff. Basically I'm a homesteading scientist. http://lunariagardens.com
- My husband is an awesome French/ gypsy jazz accordionist. We used to live on a converted school bus on an organic farm.
- I had a stint of a few years as a jazz vocalist.
- I grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs, went to art school in the city proper, and have looped around a good chunk of the USA (New York's Hudson Valley, California, Tuscon AZ, Austin TX, etc). I've also spent some time in Western Europe; mainly Florence, Italy.
- For the past few years I've been living in Pennsylvania - first in pastoral Bucks County, historic Easton, a beautiful little city at the meeting of the Lehigh & the Delaware Rivers, and now I'm back in Philadelphia.
- I love supporting local businesses: farmer's markets, brewpubs, lumber mills, thrift stores, plant nurseries are my jam.
- nature walks, bike rides, drinking coffee & IPAs, eating well, dancing, gardens, building stuff

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing has proved to be a wonderful tool in past travels. I haven't been as active lately, as I've been moving around a lot.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had a bunch of great surfing experiences. Some folks have gone on to become good friends & we continue to travel to see each other. Some experiences have been mediocre at worst. I've never had a negative experience with Couchsurfing. As with anything, but especially with personal space, just be communicative, set plans & boundaries, & give gratitude.
