ABOUT ME

Traveling is my favorite thing...learning languages, connecting with people from various backgrounds, discovering new places. When I can't travel myself, I like to open my home to those who can. I work in medicine full time and do circus arts and ride motorcycles in my spare time. I've done many things in life, lived in interesting places, worked on boats, performed music and dance, protested wars, and done aid work in East Africa and Brazil. And it's all brought me back to the same place of just loving and appreciating life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm here to basically connect and see how this goes. I'm open to meeting up, sharing a meal, having tea. I may also be able to host you, depending on my schedule - just ask! I currently am a full-time student and also work a lot. But I will host when I am able to.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've informally couch surfed in many unique locales and have spent time in 27 countries so far...

Music - right now I am obsessed with Bulgarian and gypsy music. I also love swing music (and dancing), salsa, just about everything except for country and rap. Books: I adore Latin American literature, particularly Cortazar and Borges. I am truly quite a nerd when it comes to books.

Let's have tea! I'm also an art model and enjoy coming up with creative projects on the fly...I find that traveling and spontaneity lend themselves to this! So if you have an idea of something you want to do, drop me a line!

My home is small but comfortable. You must be an animal-lover to enjoy it.

Also - I have to be clear. I am a working person and a student and a performer. Some younger travelers who have never had to work before may not be able to understand this, but I do have a full schedule. I am still happy to make time when I can to hang out - and I love to do this. But what helps with this is 1) clearly communicated travel plans, arrival time, location etc. 2) willingness to be flexible (remember, these accommodations are free!). If arrival information is not provided to me in advance, please be willing to wait to be picked up. I hope this doesn't sound harsh at all, I just have to be clear that I am a person who juggles multiple commitments, so I can't drop everything on a moment's notice in some cases. Thank you for understanding!
