ABOUT ME

My name is Kristen Russell and I love anything outdoors, active, and FUN! I'm down to try new things (such as couch surfing!) and I'm SO excited to be traveling this next fall with Madison! We hope to meet a lot of interesting and new people on our trip because sometimes what is more important is not where you are, but who you are with. :)
J'étudie le français, et je voudrais rester avec des gens qui parlent l'anglais et/ou le français! Je ne le parle pas couramment encores, mais je voudrais practiquer! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to travel this autumn and stay with a few CouchSurfers to get a feel for how it all works and I hope to host travelers once I get back to sunny California! Even just going out for a drink would be lovely. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I love hosting people from different places as it really gives me an opportunity to understand different kinds of people and it's great to make new connections. I have hosted my cousin from Norway this last year and took her around San Francisco with her friend, but they are not part of the CouchSurfing community. Neither Madison nor I have stayed with a CouchSurfer, but everything that we have heard from friends and their experiences have ONLY been positive about CouchSurfing and we're excited to get involved and pay it forward.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a huge part of my life - I am actually bringing my ukulele on Madison and my European travels. I think that music connects people in a way that sometimes other connections miss. Just to sit and listen to someone play music can be such a personal connection, I think.

From this, needless to say that I LOVE music. Madison and I both listen to almost everything and we love to exchange music as well. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am bringing my ukulele so I can teach you how to play a few songs, or maybe just share an experience of singing together! Music to me is a huge bonding experience and I think that it instantly gives people something in common, no matter where they are from. I am excited to jam with CouchSurfers!
